The website will serve as a modern, elegant showcase for the equestrian center, blending the rustic charm of equestrian life with contemporary design principles. The goal is to create a clean, user-friendly website that highlights the center's services, facilities, and the beauty of horses while focusing on the designer's ability to craft a visually stunning, immersive online experience.

Research & Discovery

Stakeholder Interviews

I started by conducting interviews with the equestrian center's team, including the center manager, trainers, and marketing staff. This helped me understand their vision, core services, and pain points with the existing site.

Key Insights:

  • The website needed to showcase the beauty of the center more effectively.

  • The current site was not mobile-optimized, which was a barrier for potential clients who were browsing on mobile devices.

  • The information was scattered, and users struggled to find what they needed (e.g., event details, lesson offerings).

Competitive Analysis

We analyzed other equestrian centers' websites to understand industry trends and identify features that were successful in engaging their target audience. We focused on elements like:

  • Visual storytelling through large images of the facilities and horses.

  • Clear calls-to-action (CTAs) to drive users toward bookings and inquiries.

  • Easy navigation for booking lessons, tours, and events.

Defining the Problem:

Based on the insights from our research, we identified the following key user problems:

  • Lack of Visual Appeal: The existing website failed to capture the essence and beauty of the equestrian center, which could be a significant draw for prospective clients.

  • Complex Navigation: Information was hard to find, especially for users who were new to equestrian activities and wanted clear guidance.

  • Booking & Contact Flow: The booking system was not integrated into the website, and users had to make phone calls or emails to inquire about services, leading to a poor user experience.

Design Process:

Information Architecture (IA):
  • Home Page: An inviting, visually appealing introduction to the center, with easy access to all main sections.

  • Services: Clear breakdown of all offered services, including riding lessons, boarding, training, and event hosting.

  • Facilities: Detailed descriptions of the center’s amenities with high-quality images and an interactive tour.

  • Events & Competitions: A dynamic calendar displaying upcoming events, with options for online registration.

  • Contact: Easy-to-use contact form, location map, and clear CTAs for inquiries and bookings.
